Taejae University Welcomes Second Matriculating Cohort 


Taejae University is proud to announce its second matriculating cohort, marking another milestone in the institution's young but ambitious history. On August 28, the university formally welcomed its newest cohort of students with its 2024 matriculation ceremony. The ceremony took place at Taejae University Headquarters, with students, faculty, staff, and invited guests in attendance.

 

 

 

Building Global Foundations

Following the success of its inaugural year, Taejae University continues to attract an exceptional and exclusive selection of students from across the world. The incoming cohort of 2024 boasts an impressive array of academic achievements, extracurricular accomplishments, and diverse experiences and backgrounds.

 

 

Ceremony Highlights

The matriculation ceremony featured inspiring addresses by Taejae University President Jaeho Yeom, Taejae University Global Advisor Teri Cannon, former Samsung CEO Oh-Hyun Kwon, and RoMeLa (Robotics Mechanic Laboratory) founder and Taejae Eminent Scholar Dr. Dennis Hong. The honored speakers in turn congratulated the incoming cohort, lauded their enterprising spirit, and assured them of their ability to overcome any upcoming challenges with the support of their community and school. 

 


The speeches were followed by the traditional Student Pledge, a statement of commitment and ethos written by the incoming cohort. The 2024 cohort recited the Pledge in unison, led by student representatives Yul Na and Amartushig Amarmandakh.

 

 

The ceremony concluded with special musical performances by the Taejae student band club, composed of members of the university’s inaugural 2023 cohort.

 

 

Looking to the Future

As Taejae University enters its second year, it remains committed to its founding principles of innovation education and academic excellence. The institution continues to expand its cutting-edge methodology and innovative preparing students for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century. 


As President Yeom stated, “By choosing us, students choose a path less traveled, opting for an education that challenges traditional educational models. Our goal is to cultivate in our students the adaptability, creativity, and entrepreneurial mindset needed to thrive in an uncertain future. Our curriculum and philosophy push the boundaries of conventional education. Taejae is not just about completing coursework, reading assigned texts, and taking exams to get good grades; but it's about learning to think, build up your own ideas, and pushing yourself to do.”
